I would say that I regularly use the Internet, primarily for checking my social media, reading the news, and conducting research. I also like to watch videos or play games online.

My laptop, which I’ve given the nickname Sophie, is one of my most valued things. I use a 15-inch matte black Alienware laptop every day, which has a colorful keyboard.
I bought it when I was a college student and I needed something with a little more power under the hood to run all the applications I was learning to use. I think I’ve owned it for around 8 years now. Since this was the first significant purchase I made with the money I was saving from my first job, it has a particular place in my heart.
Although I’ve had to make adjustments to it and replace a number of components over the years, it still does the job. It’s obviously not the same beast it was when I first acquired it. Every day I bring it to work and use it for everything from screenplay writing to voiceovers to graphic design. Whatever task needs to be completed, you can guarantee I’ll use my laptop to complete it.
It is one of my primary communication tools, along with my phone, and I would struggle more to get through the day without it. It serves as my home’s main entertainment hub as well. I use it to enjoy my favorite movies on a huge screen, watch my favorite TV series, and even as a music and karaoke system whenever I have guests over. I regrettably remarked that it is an old piece of hardware, so I should start thinking about an update as I’m sure I’ll need to replace it soon.
This time, maybe I’ll discover something a little lighter because my present laptop’s major flaw is that it’s so enormous and hefty. When I originally bought it, I didn’t have a lot of options, but now I’m confident I can find something just as potent and in a lighter package.

Smart devices undoubtedly offer convenience advantages, but I think they will also encourage laziness.
