IELTS Speaking Part 1 Questions topic Work/ Job

Do you work or study?

I recently graduated from college, and I’m now working as a freelance copywriter. Since I was a college student, I have loved doing this. I love digital marketing, and I feel very fortunate to have a profession that allows me to make money while also having the freedom to create without having to spend all day in an office.

Is that a popular job in your country?

I’m not entirely sure. I assume marketing is a common career choice overall, but few people can find love in copywriting because they perceive it to be a mundane job. In that situation, I can’t really blame them, because having to produce the same content for days on end can get very boring.

Are there anything special about your job?

As I’ve already indicated, the flexibility to create that my job affords me is what I love most about it. I don’t have to spend the entire day at my office, which is fairly cool compared to many other office jobs. My insightful supervisor genuinely urges me to venture outside in search of creative inspiration for my work.

Is there another type of job you would like to do?

In addition to this, I’ve always wanted to be a writer like J.K. Rowling, you know, ever since I was a little girl. One of the best forms of media, in my opinion, for reflecting all facets of life is literature. Writing books is probably the only other job I would want to pursue because journalism and photography are both fantastic careers, but I’ve never been good at either.

Would you recommend your current job to other people?

Absolutely, I’d advise it to anyone majoring in business in general. Although copywriting occasionally can be frustrating, I think it can really encourage your creativity and inventiveness. You may be the market trend-setter for practically anything if you’re talented enough.

Do you work or study?

Các câu hỏi thường gặp trong chủ đề Talk about your dream job

I currently work for [ABC Company], one of the top 10 publicly traded companies in my nation, as a [job title] and have for the past couple of years. In fact, this is my first job ever, and I absolutely adore it. I also think that the work I do is fascinating and hard. I’m currently putting in a lot of effort to help this prestigious company succeed.

Why did you pick your career?

I have a strong passion for [……] and always think that I was meant to do [……]. One day, I hope to be a prosperous […..].

Why did you decide to work in that field? What do you like about your job?

My enthusiasm for journalism and the job’s flexibility, I suppose, are the key reasons. To be more specific, this position allows me to develop better ways to balance work and life than the standard nine to five routine. In addition, this position offers me the chance to one day realize my dream of working as a journalist.

What do you dislike about your job?

When I spend the entire day in front of a computer screen dealing with a massive workload, there are times when I feel completely exhausted. I mean, I’ve had an extremely demanding schedule that always keeps me up to my ears in deadlines, as well as a sedentary lifestyle that actually has a terrible impact on my physical and mental health. In the future, I hope to work a profession that involves interacting with people and is less stressful.

Is there some other kind of work you would rather do?

Actually, I don’t think I’m able to dedicate myself to any other job rather than this one. In fact, to me it’s the experiences and opportunities I can gain that really matters.

IELTS Speaking Part 2 Topic Job/ Work

Describe your idea of making a good first impression in a job interview.

You should say:

  • Why it is important.
  • Is it important to make a good last impression as well
  • What ways would you do it in your job interview
  • What is your dream job
  • And explain how to make a good first impression in a job interview.

It’s of common sense that most people at my age are now seeking for good job opportunity. Thus, I have to get to know how to leave a good first impression in a job interview. Today, I would like to share with you some of my knowledge about this topic.

In a professional situation, the first impressions are significantly important. Most job interviews don’t last more than 45 minutes. In such a short period of time, from those who don’t know anything about ourselves, we have to persuade them that we are qualified enough for the position we applied for. Thus, a good first impression can help to increase the success rate in our application process.

There are many things a candidate can do create positive first impression. You may choose following some among these tips or all of them, such as arriving on time for the interview, dressing formally, use appropriate ways of behavior and communications.

Besides, there are some noted points that you should pay much attention to like job description, company information which you acquired through researches. By going through the required tasks and skills for the vacancy, company’s culture or giving some suggestions to improve productivity of the tasks you might be in charge of when you take that position can help you stand out from other candidate. For me, I would choose to follow all tips above.

Apart from first impression, I strongly believe that last impressions are important as well. Often we are not accepted immediately in the interview. Recruiting team will have to take into account all candidates’ performances during the interview to choose the most suitable ones for the position. Therefore, good first impression only is not enough, we have to build good relationship with recruiters by making good last impression, too. By doing so, we showed our respect to recruiters and the job we apply for.

Being in a job interview is not an enjoyable experience. However, we have to get through it to pursue our dream jobs. Thus, we should prepare well enough for occasions like that.

Describe the job you would most like to have

You should say:

  • what this job would be
  • where you would work
  • which qualifications you would need and
  • explain why you would like to have this job most.

IELTS Speaking Part 3 Questions topic Job/ Work

Which jobs would you say are most respected in your country?

I suppose the most well-known professions may be those in the fields of law, education, and medicine, but I have never given this any thought. It is mostly due to the ease with which those employed in these industries can generate attractive revenue when compared to others.

Some people say it’s better to work for yourself than be employed by a company. What’s your opinion?

I used to work a full-time job, and it was really stressful. To be more specific, I was frequently juggling a busy schedule and a ton of work in order to meet deadlines. So, even though owning my own business is quite difficult, I do feel much more at ease doing it.

What changes in employment have there been in recent years in your country?

I’m aware that more and more people, particularly the younger generations, are starting their own enterprises. As a result, the “start-up” community, particularly those in technology, are more vibrant than ever.

What are some of the important things a candidate should find out before accepting a job?

Well, that’s a fascinating query. If I were to accept a job offer, I would examine the benefits offered by the firm, including pay, bonuses, paid time off for maternity or paternity leave, insurance, pension plans, and vacations. I also need to be aware of my specific areas of responsibility so that I may avoid being overburdened with work later on.

Future math teaching is my ideal profession. I enjoy number problems, mathematics, equality, and formulae. When I was younger, I was a small girl who loved math.

Bài mẫu Talk about your dream job – IELTS Speaking

I have observed the lessons that my instructors have taught. Then I did further study and studied how to communicate specialist knowledge. I am aware that being a teacher requires patience, confidence, and charity in addition to increasing knowledge.

Being a teacher is a nice job, but there is a lot of stress associated with it. Despite the difficulties of my line of work, I always go for my dreams. My dream job is still a ways off, and I’m sure I’ll continue to learn everything I need to know in order to be a successful teacher.

Bài mẫu 2 – Talk about your dream job lawyer

My main desire is to become a lawyer. Everyone will have various job aspirations; I know I have given it much thought. And ultimately, I decide to focus on lawyers in the future.

To be quite honest, there are a lot of reasons why I intend to become a lawyer. I was initially watching a legal program by chance. They can defend the rights of the underprivileged, deliver justice to the defenseless,… I can see that this is excellent and appropriate. Because of the truth and the reality of life, they may speak up for others. Second, I can defend my loved ones and my family if I practice law.

Therefore, in order to fulfill my dream, I tried hard to get into Law University. I’ll then try to graduate with a respectable grade point average. I am aware that the legal profession is demanding and fraught with difficulties. But I adore my job and will always pick it. I’ll realize my life’s ambition!

Bài mẫu 3

I want to inform you about my ideal job today.

Teaching English is a teacher’s responsibility. As long as they are dependable, I wouldn’t mind working in a university, a large school, or even a language center. I’m afraid since I’ve been hearing about so many dramas lately in and around various English-speaking centers.

Of course, teaching English is one of the responsibilities of the position. However, I would like to concentrate on IELTS and Communication English due to the rapidly rising demand.

A TESOL degree, which is all about the training course of teaching English to make us professional teachers, is the initial requirement for qualification for this position. More than that, we need to have a lot of patience and love for this job because we have to interact with many different pupils from all backgrounds and personalities. Social skills are therefore quite important, especially for contemporary teachers like me.

I think this position is ideal for a number of reasons:

First of all, I get the opportunity to interact with a variety of kids, all of whom have an interesting tale to share. I think we may learn from their life experiences and unique viewpoints on certain prevalent social issues.

Second, a teacher might motivate students by sharing their own personal experiences. By sharing our real-life experiences and examples with them, we may inspire students to love the language without necessarily having to tell them personal stories about ourselves.

Last but not least, by imparting the worth of the language to students, a teacher also has the chance to help them perceive it as an art of communication rather than just a test or a way to get money.

That is all I have to say. I appreciate you listening.
