Yes, I genuinely love living in the city where I was born and bred, Ho Chi Minh City. It has been around for more than 300 years historically. Despite having a population of more than or less than 10 million, daily traffic congestion, and a moderate amount of pollution, this city continues to draw in a growing number of residents, including both visitors and immigrants.
Do you prefer the city or the countryside?
Frankly, the countryside is just a good place for the wealthy or the old, despite having a serene ambiance that may assist soothe any stressed mind. I’m without a doubt a city guy because I grew up in a bustling metropolis with lots of chances for employment and access to modern conveniences.
Is it good for young people to grow up in the city?
Since my hometown is one of the most populous and developed in the nation, young people frequently view it as a promising place with greater educational and employment chances.
Big cities, in my opinion, are overcrowded and have frightening levels of pollution, despite being excellent locations for young people to study and find work. So it’s basically like two sides of a coin, I suppose.

What kinds of city do you like?
My homeland, Ho Chi Minh Metropolis, is a city that combines both modern and traditional cultures. This city is centuries old—more than 300 years old—historically speaking.
Even though the city has seen numerous changes and now includes a neighborhood with skyscrapers and a more contemporary appearance, it nevertheless contains many historical landmarks, including Bến Thành Market or the Saigon Botanical Garden.
Which do you prefer, living in a city or only visiting it as a tourist?
I grew up in a congested city called Ho Chi Minh City, therefore I am more accustomed to its fast-paced way of life. As a result, I prefer to live in cities as opposed to traveling. But as I get older, I’m beginning to consider retiring to the country because of the tranquility and comfort it offers as well as the affordable cost of living.

Some city centers draw visitors with a variety of attractions, but occasionally they are overrun by business buildings and multi-story parking garages. People frequently have to live in subpar, small dwellings.
What are some of the issues that cities and towns are facing?
The primary issue, in my opinion, is traffic congestion. The development of out-of-town supermarkets and retail parks has also led to the closure of many local center stores.
