Idioms – thành ngữ được mọi người sử dụng thường xuyên trong giao tiếp tiếng Anh hằng ngày.

Idioms thường là những câu không nhằm mục đích để hiểu theo nghĩa thông thường, thành ngữ tạo thành một câu đơn mang tính nghệ thuật ẩn dụ, chứa nhiều hàm nghĩa hơn câu nói thông thường.

Hiện nay trên thế giới, xuất hiện hàng ngàn thành ngữ khác nhau và được tạo bởi hầu hết các ngôn ngữ trên thế giới. Ước tính có ít nhất 25 ngàn thành ngữ trong ngôn ngữ tiếng Anh.

Đừng cố gắng học thuộc tất cả idioms, bởi vì có rất nhiều thành ngữ trong tiếng Anh được tạo ra mỗi năm, không dừng lại với con số 25 ngàn. Vậy nên hãy học theo kiểu cuốn chiếu và ưu tiên ghi nhớ nhanh là hiệu quả nhất.

Vì thế, bạn chỉ nên bỏ túi từ 1-5 idioms mỗi tuần và qua nhiều tháng bạn có thể tích lũy lượng thành ngữ khá ổn định đấy.

Học Idiom hãy học trong ngữ cảnh cụ thể.

Một khi bạn áp dụng cách học này thì thật khó mà có thể quên được! Tức để sử dụng thì bạn phải biết qua thành ngữ đó và trong một ngữ cảnh bạn sử dụng thì chắc chắn 100% lần sau bạn sẽ không thể quên được.
